This is where the Opening Ceremony will be held and registration begins at 7:30 AM.

Sierra Leone Water Relief Station #1 is featured here where T-shirts and Goody Bags will be distributed.

The Children's Walk To Africa also Begins and Ends at the park.

Begin by strolling on the beautiful two-mile course along the beach, up the Santa Monica Pier.  At the top, cross Ocean Avenue and walk on Colorado Avenue to Main Street, where you will go right to walk past Santa Monica City Hall!   At the next street, Pico Bvd, cross the street then make a right and head west to cross Neilsen Way onto Ocean Way, then left back to Crescent Bay Park.   Crossing Guards and volunteers will be there to show you the way.

Parking

Parking directly adjacent to the park is available at Beach Parking Lot #4, for a flat $7 all day rate. Entrance is on Bicknell Ave. and Barnard Way. Drop off on a round-about is on the north side of the park on Bay Street.

Adult 8-Mile Route

Set in beautiful Santa Monica on the Pacific Ocean. The starting point is at Crescent Bay Park for the first two mile leg along Ocean Front Walk, up the Santa Monica Pier and onto Palisades Park. Head north along the bluffs and stop at The Gambia Water Relief Station #2 at the intersection of San Vicente and Ocean Avenue.

Continue on the route east on San Vincent Avenue.  Walk the second leg to 25th Street. Here you will find the Burundi Water Relief Station #3. After a brief pause for rest and refreshment, push on to Montana Avenue & 3rd Street for the last Liberia Water Relief Station #4. Complete the last two mile leg back to Crescent Bay Park through the Third Street Promenade!  Take a right on Broadway back to Ocean Avenue and the Santa Monica Pier, then return on Ocean Front Walk to way you came back to Crescent Bay Park!  Be sure to get your final Passport Stamp at Sierre Leone Water Relief Station #1.
